Today, 13 Years Ago.... Attack Was Made On the USA

13 years ago America, and the world on a whole was drastically changed forever.
Above is the view in New York City signifying the memorial for the twin towers.
On September 11, 2001, four commercial planes were hijacked in the United States. All flown by terrorist. Two were flown into the two World Trade Center Towers in New York City, one was flown into the Pentagon, and the fourth crashed in Pennsylvania before carrying out the final terroristic act.
I remember where I was when the first plane hit. Sitting in English class, private school at the time. The announcement came on for us to turn on the news. As I sat and watched the replay of the first plane, and then the hit of the second, the tears began to roll down my face. The entire school rushed into chapel for prayer. The emotions from students, faculty and staff was like nothing I had ever felt amongst such a vast amount of people.
The question of why? Rumbled through my mind for months after the attack.
To me America stands for: life, liberty, and freedom. On 9/11/2001 terrorist decided that attacking the America was the right thing to do.
All I can say, is I pray for those individuals, and everyone or anyone else that feels this way is right. I hope that these victims families were able to find peace. After 13 years I know the pain still saddens those who lost a loved one, but I know that time heals all.
GOD BLESS THE USA

  1. I remember where I was on that tragic day. I was in my Air Force Squadron at the time and after watching the various news reports my military duty took on a whole new meaning. I had originally joined to travel, to get free education, and life experience. On 9/11, I gained a true sense of patriotism and learned the true costs of freedom. It wasn't just about what I could get out of my military service, but instead what I could give to it and to the American people. I believe that it was one of the few times in our nation that party politics were set aside for the greater good of the people. It was one of the few times that media was responsible and set aside personal agenda's.
